Senior Carding Program
Objective:
To assist divers in attaining their full athletic potential, through rewarding performance with funding that can be used for training, competition, and other diving-related expenses.
Purpose:
§ To provide financial assistance to high performance athletes in Alberta in order that they may achieve National Team ranking, and Federal Athlete Assistance.
§ To distribute Alberta Diving funds to top ranked divers in Alberta, in order to reward and motivate our elite athletes to continue to improve. These athletes’ are essential in providing leadership and inspiration to our developing divers.
National Team divers are supported by Sport Canada funding, and are eligible for 50% of the available funding.
Junior Carding Program
As with the senior carding program the purpose of this program is to give our young Alberta Divers the opportunity to receive additional funding towards training and travel. The Alberta Winter Provincial Championships are the trials for this Age-group Program.
Bronze Card Award
Alberta Section will continue to provide the AADP BRONZE AWARD, which will be a $500.00 grant to all Age Group National Medalists who do not already receive funding under this Senior Carding Program. There is no age limit to be eligible for this funding.
