Alberta's flag bearer Hailey Casper of Calgary wins second gold for Alberta in the Women's 1 Meter event on Thursday, repeating her national title win last July in Victoria on the 1 meter. Cody Kolodziejzyk also won a silver medal with a strong performance in the Men's 3 Meter event bringing Alberta's medal count to 3 for diving. More from the TEAM ALBERTA DAILY MEDIA
On Friday Cody Kolodziejzyk and Brandon Makinson added another gold in the Men's 3 Meter Synchro event bringing the total to 4 madals for diving for Alberta!
Brandon Makinson from Calgary wins first medal for the province, taking the gold in the Men's 1 Meter event in Charlottetown, PEI on Wednesday. With 31 athletes competing, Brandon had one of his strongest performances after barely making it into the final. Brandon had strong competition in the event, competing against several national champions. Albeta divers Cody Kolodziejzyk and Cody Yano also finshed in the the top 12, 5th and 10th, respectively.
In the Women's 3 Meter event, all 3 Alberta athletes finaled, with Hailey Casper finishing 5th, Caitlin Fredericks 7th and Hannah Bocksnick taking 12th spot. In the Tower event on Monday Julien Cousineau finished in 8th place in the men's and Anne Seath took 9th in the women's event.
